The colomn,"Radical In The White House", was written by a journalist by the name of Thomas L. Friedman. He is a three time Pulitzer Prize winner and author. He published this article in the New York Times after the inauguration of President Barack Obama, in the hopes that Americans will see that the old way of doing things is getting us no where and now with the change of president we can make some changes as a country.
I think that this article was directed towards the American people as a whole, but mostly to the youth. This is the generation that is going to be able to make a difference, we as the youth have the ability to educate ourselves with what is going on in our country and fight for the changes we will need to take place. And i just also hope that the American people voted for Obama for the right reasons not because of race or to make history but because they truley want to see a change in our country, that they would like to see their children grow up country that takes pride in itself once again.
