The article, Government has to make choices families, businesses don't, was written by the associate editor of the state newspaper, Cindi Ross Scoppe. I think this article tries to give different analogies about how the government is always compared with families and businesses. This article is directed mainly towards the working people. The argument of the article is that we should not cut more jobs just to have more money, when it would be more productive for more people to have less money than not have any at all. I think that if everyone was to take a pay cut in order for there to be more workers there would be more opportunities for the economy to get better. More workers mean more people to pay taxes. But that also means that if you cut pay for some people it will cause them to not be able to pay the bills. In saying that, the government has a huge task ahead of them and I hope that they will be able to pull our economy out of this hole we've put ourselves in.
