Assignment #3 C.Slough

This article was written on February 4th, 2009 by Madison Powers who is the CQ Guest Columnist. The article is explaining what the stimulus plan is for and its importance to the people of the United States. The main purpose for the plan is to rejuvenate the countries failing economy with hopes of a more positive effect for the future. It may take awhile for the effects of the plan to show. The article did not explain what the money will go for, but it did mention something about large infrastructure projects. I did some research on the web and watched CNN most mornings before writing this blog. The 789 billion dollars will go for aid to the poor and unemployed, taxes, education/ state fiscal relief, and energy/ science programs. Hopefully this bill passes congress and the senate because this seems to be a do or die situation for our country.
