Assignment 3 A. Denio

This item was written by Madison Powers who is a Senior Research Scholar, at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. He writes for CQ Politics, which is an online source for news and politics. His article was published on February 4th, 2009.
The article was written to show the trade-offs of the stimulus plan. It was aimed toward the people that do not really know much about the plan. I am one of them. Before I read this I really did not know what the money was going to be used for. I now have more understanding of what it is going towards. First, it is going to efficiency and ideals of equity. Then, the other part of it is going towards the balance between infrastructure and other activities that will jump start the economy. Basically the money is being used to boost back up the economy back to what it used to be. It is about time that some thing is happening to fix the economy. I feel that all this money will benefit the whole nation. I do not think it will fix it immediately, but it will have a significant positive effect.
The basic argument of the author was to share what the trade offs are. Madison really did not go either way. Instead argued for both parts of the trade-offs. It is going to take a lot to fix the economy, but the stimulus plan is a great start.
