assignment 5 H. Wilson

In the artice "Will: The continuing fall of federalism" was written by George F. Will who is a writer for the Washington Post. He published this article in the State newpaper. Will is a pulitizer winner.
This article was written to inform people about the Constitution and how people want it to be changed. McCain-Feingold wants the Senate election process to be changed. Also, people want to learn more about the 17th amendment so they can figure out some changes to deal with that.
The main point of this article to reach out to people to get more involved with politics and the constitution. The more people that get involved, the more opinions they get and the better they can make the constitution for everybody. They also want people to get involved with the elections rather than the legislatures.
With more people involved it will cause the states more in control, rather than the federal government if people arent involved. McCain-Feingold's idea purposes that the federal government to be more in control and taking power from the states.
I dont agree with this because the states should be able to have a fair amount of control over the necessary stuff.
