Assignment 1 JR TRIPP

Thomas L. Friedman of the New York Times wrote an article about the recently elected president Barack Obama. He established America has finally put race, gender and status aside somewhat with the electing of Barack Obama. Friedman feels that in this time of need we need a radical leader to get us out of the hole that the nation is in and he feels that Barck is the man to do such a job.
After 8 years as president bush there is alot of work to do to get America on a good foundation. He also lets the readers know that the voting public is hopeful and trustful that Barack will get the job done. It took a long time for us to break the mold of presidents but we finally did it. Hopefully we can break the "DEBT" mold that we have been in for a while. Even for the voters who didn't vote for Barack, they should hope he does the best he can do because times are so bad that it might take a few crazy moves to get us out of this mess.
